The Central Administration Portal
All WhoIsMember settings and maintenance tools are consolidated in one clean frontend page — accessible to administrators only, without entering the WordPress dashboard.
⚙️ Configuration
- CSV delimiter — choose comma, semicolon, or TAB for exports
- Export format — CSV or JSON
- Link validity — how long confirmation links for email and password changes remain active (1–720 hours)
- Online display limit — maximum entries shown in the online widget (default: 10)
- WHOIS Service URL — base URL and postfix for IP hostname lookups
- Log retention — how many days until activity log entries are automatically pruned (requires Activity Log add-on)
Tools & Maintenance
- Setup check — verifies that all required pages (member list, profile, management portal) exist and are correctly configured
- Recreate pages — regenerates any missing plugin pages with a single click
- Clear activity log — wipes all entries from the log database table in one step (irreversible)
- Database cleanup — removes orphaned WhoIsMember data from the database
Access & Security
Admin-only
The portal is protected by a manage_options capability check. Non-administrators see an access denied message — the portal content is never rendered or sent to the browser.
Private page
The management portal lives on a private WordPress page — invisible to regular visitors, not indexed by search engines, accessible only when logged in as an administrator.
Quick access
A direct link to the Central Administration portal appears in the WhoIsMember admin menu item — one click from anywhere in the WordPress backend.
